Requesting reimbursement for materials

Please note: For bookings with a partner (like Walmart, Wayfair, Lowe’s, etc.), the customer must provide any additional materials required for the job, as there is no way to add additional items to the customer’s account.

Please ensure you communicate with your customer in the app ahead of time to ensure they have the required materials, or determine if you need to purchase any materials.

If you need to purchase materials for the booking, there are three ways to get reimbursed:

  1. The customer can reimburse you directly
  2. You can get reach out to Pro Support after getting written confirmation in-app from the customer (not available for Partner bookings mentioned above)
  3. You can request reimbursement via the Job Support menu (not available for Partner bookings mentioned above)

Option 2: Pro Support with customer in-app written confirmation

  1. When purchasing materials, text your customer the total cost. The customer MUST confirm they are good with the cost over text / using the in-app chat before you purchase the materials.
  2. Please submit your itemized receipt of purchase to our Pro Support Team so they can update the customer’s payment for the job to include the cost of the materials, and Angi Services will send that payment on to you. Note that not all stores will offer an itemized receipt, so be certain to ask for one.

Option 3: Requesting reimbursement via the Job Support menu

  1. Navigate to the Job Support Menu. In the “Other issues” section, there will be an option titled “I need to be reimbursed for materials” if your booking is eligible.
  2. Enter the description, amount requested, and itemized receipt for the materials that you and your customer agreed upon, and submit the request.

  1. The customer will receive a text message asking them to confirm the material reimbursement. Once approved, you will be notified via text message and your payment will be updated when the booking ends.

 

That said, you’re expected to provide the basics that might be needed on any job. Come prepared with tools, nails, and small items of that sort.
