How are taxes handled?

As an independent contractor using the Angi Services platform, you are responsible for filing and paying your own Federal and State income taxes. Angi Services does not withhold any taxes on your behalf. If you have questions about filing your taxes, please consult a tax professional.

Professionals in the U.S.:

In compliance with the IRS, all U.S. professionals who have earned $600 or more, during the 2021 calendar year are considered eligible and will be issued a 1099-NEC tax document. If you did not meet this threshold, you will not be issued a 1099.

On January 5, 2022, all eligible pros will receive an email from Stripe regarding their taxes. You will also need to opt in to E-Delivery of your tax forms in order to receive it electronically. Otherwise, you will be sent a copy in the physical mail.

All 1099 tax documents for eligible recipients, will be mailed and postmarked as of January 31, 2022 to your address on your Angi Services Pro account, and will be delivered to you via the USPS or emailed to you via E-Delivery.

Professionals in Canada:
Professionals in Canada who have earned $500 or more during the 2021 calendar year will be issued a T4A tax document via standard mail.

Professionals in the UK:
If you are a professional in the UK, Angi Services does not provide any tax documentation.
